County of Cook Hospital

Client: County of Cook Hospital
Industry: Health Care / Hospital
Project: Art Direction / Exhibit Design (3-D) / Production and Project Management
Problem: The client needed temporarily signage for a fundraising event. Because the event celebrated 175 years in health care, it required exciting graphics and stories.
Solution: Signage was developed for quick installation at the fundraising event. Additionally, this portable signage was reused at smaller events. The project was praised by the client!
Pictured above is the County of Cook: Milestones in Health Care exhibit, which celebrated 175 years in health care at a fundraising event. This exhibit was primarily used in fund-raising for the $551 million new building. The exhibit signage temporarily extended around the atrium of United Center for this series of environmental graphics.  Ted had created a 3-D floor plan, art directed the junior designer, managed the fabrication and installed the signage for the Hospital.

Ted’s exhibits and signage have been effective ways to communicate an entire story or address specific points. Over the years, his responsibilities have included, art direction, graphic design, production, installation and production management. Contributions for environmental graphics have included floor plans, 3-D signage, 2-D signage, outdoor (street) banners, indoor banners, story panels, vinyl wall lettering and artifact tags.
